Swim Teacher – Level 1

Level 1 Swim Teachers learn the best techniques and goals for the youngest independent swimmers. Level 1 teacher is capable of teaching the following classes: Aquatike I (3 year olds only) Aquatike II (3 year olds only) Aquatike III (3 year olds only) Preschool Beginner (4-5 year olds only) Advanced Preschool Beginner (4-5 year olds only) Beginner I, II & III (5-17 year olds).

Swim Teacher – Level 2

At this level, emphasis is placed on technical perfection of the strokes themselves, and introduces swimmers to competitive strokes and endurance swimming.

Swim Teacher – Baby and Me

It takes a special person with a special love for children to teach a baby swim class, so Swim Schools International offers a program for teaching only babies under the age of 3. Focus is less on swimming at this age, and more about comfort and safety in and around the water. Primarily, our certified teachers learn how to instruct the parents on what to do in the water with their children and offer structured play to reduce fear and increase comfort in the water.

Swim Teacher – Adult

The minimum age for swimmers in these classes ise 18, which means the challenges of teaching and the dynamics of the classes will be vastly different  from teaching children. Our Teacher Training and certification reflects these differences and provides you with the option of including a completely different market – the adult non-swimmer.
