Indigo Scuba in Gordon’s Bay Celebrates World Ocean Day

In celebration of World Ocean Day on Saturday, 3 December 2011, Indigo Scuba Diving Centre in Gordon’s Bay held a special dive and braai to raise funds for the Sustainable Seas Trust (SST), a charitable organisation dedicated to the conservation and sustainability of the South African coastline.

A full boat of eleven divers joined Indigo Scuba for a fun and exciting dive at Steenbras Deep, a beautiful and fascinating reef 11 kilometers from Gordon’s Bay. The dive was followed by a braai at Indigo Scuba’s dive centre on the Gordon’s Bay mountainside.  The funds raised by Indigo Scuba have been donated to SST and will be used to protect and rehabilitate our local coastline.

Indigo Scuba is owned and run by Deon and Kate Jonker who have been exploring the vibrant reefs of False Bay and teaching internationally recognised scuba diving courses for over eleven years.  Indigo Scuba has an 8 metre dive boat and with Deon and Kate’s vast knowledge of False Bay’s reefs and marine life, divers can be assured that with Indigo Scuba, they will see the very best that False Bay has to offer.  Diving with Indigo Scuba is fun and stress-free and all divers are made to feel very welcome at Indigo Scuba.
